Toros dominate Guardians in win

Last year, the Matilda Torres Toros girls basketball team hosted a first-round playoff game only to see its playoff chances dashed by a last second shot by the Mendota Aztecs.

This year, the Toros didn’t let that happen with a dominating 69-47 victory Thursday in the first round of the Div. IV Central Section playoffs.

Last year, the Toros were the No. 4 seed, and lost to the 13th-seeded Aztecs, 35-32.
