Toros celebrate Homecoming with win

The Matilda Torres Toros football team sent its Homecoming crowd home happy after a 49-13 victory over Sanger West in North Yosemite League play.

The Toros scored 35 first half points and cruised to the victory against the Sanger Wets Hornets on Friday.

The Toros’ dynamic duo of Joseph Bass and Amani Sua accounted for six of the Toros’ seven touchdowns. Bass led the Toros with 181 yards and had three touchdowns. Sua rushed for 100 yards on eight carries. He rushed for a touchdown and caught two passes for touchdowns in the win.
