Too many mistakes for MALL All-Stars

Madera American’s Rick Avila looks up for the call after hitting home plate before the tag on a passed ball. The call was safe in Monday’s 6-2 loss to Sunnyside.
As has been the trend in All-Star games, most of the time, the team with the least amount of errors picks up the win. That was the case in Monday’s Madera American Little League 8-10-year-old All-Star’s game against Sunnyside.
Madera American had six errors, which led to four unearned runs while Sunnyside had two errors to pick up a 6-2 victory.
It also didn’t help that Madera American recorded just one hit — a single by Ryan Fernandez — in the game.
