Third annual diabetes run is Saturday

About 150 runners and walkers participated in the 2023 Running with the Lions event hosted by the Madera Evening Lions Club at Lion’s Town and Country Park.
The Madera Evening Lions will host its third annual Running with the Lions Strive for Diabetes 5K on Saturday at Lion’s Town and Country Park.
Registration for the event begins at 7 a.m. and the run will start at 8 a.m. at the Town and Country Park amphitheater.
As of Monday, 113 runners have signed up for the event. However, the maximum for the event to receive a medal is 150, however, event organizer Maggie Stickler said there’s always room for more.
