I have been sitting here watching television concerning all the illegal aliens crossing the southern border. The one that got me was a young girl that came across the border alone.
She said that her parents were still in Mexico. The border police asked her if she had any relations here in the United States. She said yes. He asked her for their names and where they lived. She just said again in the United States. That was all she knew. She didn’t even have their surname.
This reminded me of a story I wrote over two years ago about another young girl that lost her father after two tours in Afghanistan. So here it is.
