Madera County Supervisors recognized March as National Social Worker Month during its regular meeting Tuesday.

To honor the often challenging work and dedication to it from its own Department of Social Services, the Board of Supervisors, on behalf of Madera County and all whose lives they have improved, presented a proclamation presentation to the department.

To receive the proclamation on behalf of the department was Deputy Director of Social Service for Madera County Nickie Matus who was with several of her colleagues.
