Supervisors recognize with awards for excellence

Madera County Library staff is recognized with a Madera County Award of Excellence.
The Madera County Board of Supervisors were met with a packed room Tuesday morning.
Dozens of individuals attended to watch as loved ones and colleagues who were recognized as the recipients of the Madera County Award of Excellence for 2024.
During the meeting, the supervisors also gave proclamations honoring the life of Judge Richard McMechan. The Matilda Torres High School band was recognized for receiving highest honors in the Old Timers Day parade, and proclamations recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the week of October 20–26 as Lead Poisoning Prevention Week were also given.
