It was a great day at Courthouse Park for the Summer Reading Program Kickoff.
Yvette Herrera, the children’s librarian at the Madera County Library, organized the event, held on Thursday morning, and invited many agencies in Madera County to join. There were 17 booths, each providing information and activities for kids.
The kickoff-day event was held at the Madera County Courthouse Park. The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is, “Find Your Voice.” During the summer, there will be reading opportunities and activities for children of all ages, including bilingual activities.
