Stolen car leads to chase

California Highway Patrol Officer T. Long located a stolen Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on Golden State Blvd., south of Avenue 20 on Thursday. 

After attempting to make a traffic stop, the driver failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. The driver led officers on a chase, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

The suspect vehicle’s engine subsequently gave out, and came to a stop on the Avenue 17 over-crossing, just west of SR-99.
