Stallions win Rodeo match

Madera South’s Daniel Delgado sets up the Stallions’ offense during Tuesday’s five-set win over the Matilda Torres Toros. Delgado had 62 assists and put down 10 kills in the win.
The first boys volleyball match between the Madera South Stallions and the Matilda Torres Toros went the distance, just like the junior varsity and freshman matches.
The Stallions pulled out a 15-13 victory in the fifth set for the 3-2 victory Tuesday at Madera South.
The Stallions won the first set, 25-19, but lost the second set, 25-19. Madera South used a 12-point run to win the third set, 25-14. However. The Toros battled back to win the fourth set, 25-23, and force the fifth set.
