Madera South’s Elijah Tang unsuccessfully tries to get out of the way of a pitch to lead off the sixth inning. Tang’s hit by pitch led to a two-run rally for the Stallions in a 5-2 win Tuesday.
The Madera South Stallions baseball team started off its series with the McLane-Fresno Highlanders on the right foot after a 5-2 victory in Eddie Chapa Field.
The Stallions never trailed in the game and clinched the game with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday afternoon.
“It’s our Tuesday curse,” head coach Alan Sandoval said. “We kind of come out flat on Tuesdays. Maybe it’s because we play at 3:30 on Tuesdays. We just need more energy.”
