Stallions take Coyotes in four

The Madera South Stallions celebrate a point during Tuesday’s four-set victory over Madera.

 

The Madera South Stallions boys volleyball team jumped to an early two-set lead, and held off the Madera Coyotes for a 3-1 victory at Madera South. 


The Stallions won the first two sets, but dropped the third before coming away with a win in the fourth set Tuesday. Despite the 3-1 win for the Stallions, the match was relatively close. In the overall score, Madera South won 90-89.


The Coyotes outhit the Stallions, 48-39, in kills, but the Stallions also out-served the Coyotes 10-4 in aces.
