Madera South shortstop Josiah Ortiz reaches back for a catch on a pop up during the fourth inning of Tuesday’s 7-2 loss to the Immanuel Eagles at Eddie Chapa Field.

The Madera South Stallions baseball team had plenty of chances to record its second win of the season, however, the team stranded 15 runners on base in a 7-2 loss to the Immanuel-Reedley Eagles.

The Stallions had runners on base in every inning and left the bases loaded twice. They went 4-of-14 with runners in scoring position. Chris Huerta had two of his three hits with a runner in scoring position.

The Stallions and Eagles banged out 11 hits, but the Eagles took advantage of their situations, even though they also left 10 runners on base.
