Surrounded by her family, Madera South’s Jimena Rivera, bottom right, is all smiles after signing her National Letter of Intent to run cross country and track at Chico State.
One thing Madera South athletics can count on is a cross country athlete signing a National Letter of Intent to a four-year college.
Jimena Rivera continued that tradition this season after signing her National Letter of Intent to run cross country and track at Chico State. Not only does Rivera continue a cross country tradition, she is starting to build a pipeline to Chico State after two runners signed there last season.
“It will be a huge support system knowing I have past teammates out there,” she said. “They are very supportive of the hard work I put in and they are really excited I’m going up there. Adrian Hipolito and Dylan Devine are there and I know I can count on them for anything.”
