Stallions set records in playoff victory
The Madera South Stallions made good use of home cooking in a first-round playoff demolition of the Reedley Pirates in the Div. V playoffs.
The second-seeded Stallions were 10-of-22 from the field, and 6-of-8 from 3-point land to jump out to a 23-11 first quarter lead that led to a relatively easy 85-58 playoff victory over No. 15 Reedley on Saturday at Madera South.
Sinceare McFarland hit four of his five 3-pointer in the first quarter to lead the team with 19 points. The Stallions had four players in double-figures and 10 players scored in the win. The point total and margin of victory is the most in Stallions’ boys basketball history.
