Madera South’s Julian Nevarez, with his parents, are all smiles after signing his National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Sonoma State University.

Madera South Stallions soccer defender Julian Nevarez will continue his education and playing career at Sonoma State after signing a National Letter of Intent.

Nevarez continues a recent trend of Madera South soccer players heading to a four-year college.

“It feels great to me. The recognition from the coaches and players have been really good,” he said. “It means a lot to keep playing soccer. I want to continue play because it’s a part of me. It feels good to get my education and get to play soccer.”
