Stallions make quick work of Eagles

Madera South’s Fer Gutierrez hits an attack past the Immanuel block during Wednesday’s victory. 

 

In a match that lasted less than a hour, the Madera South Stallions easily dispatched the Immanuel Eagles in three sets in a non-conference match Wednesday at Madera South. 


The Eagles gave the Stallions a battle in the first set before Madera South won 25-18. However, the Stallions dominated the next two sets, winning a combined 50-24.


The Stallions had four players record more five or more kills, led by Fer Gutierrez with eight. Justin Caballero added seven. Bryan Orcino and Jamil Green put down five kills each.
