Madera South quarterback Ahmed Sharhan takes the shotgun snap in Friday’s 34-14 victory over Matilda Torres. He accounted for 225 yards of total offense and two touchdowns.
The Madera South Stallions football team took advantage of Matilda Torres Toros mistakes to jump out to a 34-7 halftime lead to record a 34-14 victory that, ultimately, ended its season.
The Stallions were comfortably ahead midway through the fourth quarter when a player on both teams got into a tussle on the field, which cleared the benches. Both teams were sent to their locker rooms, and the game was called at that point.
It was later determined the Stallions lost their playoff privilege, and ended its season after four wins. Torres ended its championship defense with one win.
