The Madera South Stallions football team honored Friday’s Homecoming crowd with its best game of the season in a 42-7 rout of the Fresno Warriors.
Quarterback Ahmed Sharhan came back in full health after missing four games with an ankle injury. He was rusty last week against Sanger West, but was in fine form against Fresno. He scored three touchdowns and rushed for 105 yards while throwing for 159 yards and three more touchdowns. In all, Sharhan accounted for all six scores and 264 yards of Madera South’s 328 yards of total offense.
Sharhan got some help from his buddies. He found eight different receivers, led by Giovanni Gastelum with three catches and a touchdown. Justin Caballero caught four passes for 36 yards and Sinceare McFarland caught two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.
