Stallions fall in first round game

The Madera South Stallions girls basketball team came up short in the first round of the Div. III playoffs against the Kerman Lions.

The sixth-seeded Stallions tried to rally after falling behind early, but it was the 11th-seeded Lions who held on for a 46-37 win on the road.

Kerman held a strong lead for the most of the first half, building a 12-8 advantage after the first quarter and continuing to stay ahead in the second period.
