Stallion pair heading to Chico

Madera South standout cross country and track runners Dylan Devine and Adrian Hipolito sign their National Letters of Intent to run at Chico State.

For Madera South standouts Dylan Devine and Adrian Hipolito, three years as teammates weren’t enough. They have committed for the next four years to run, as teammates, at Chico State in the fall.

“I committed first,” Devine said. “I was trying to get Adrian to go there. I let him know I wanted him to go there, but I let him know it was his decision to make. Not only to have a teammate there, but it makes you feel more comfortable. It gives you a sense of home. You aren’t worried. When I have a teammate, I have a piece of me from home. I think it helps with the process.”

“It’s a dream to go with Dylan,” Hipolito said. “People wish they could go to college with a teammate.”
