Solo car crash leads to fatality

California Highway Patrol Madera officers responded to a solo vehicle crash, on Road 28 1/2, near Avenue 17.

During the investigation, CHP learned that a 29-year-old woman from Madera was driving a blue 2024 Acura Integra, with her 10-month-old son in the back seat, properly restrained in a car seat Monday, just after noon. 

She was traveling southbound on Road 28 1/2, north of Avenue 17, at an unknown speed.  For reasons still under investigation, she veered to the left, across the northbound lane and into the east dirt shoulder.
