Sherman Thomas STEM Academy Madera County Academic Pentathlon champion team members include: Adriel Abina, Akaar Bains, Deklan Bispham, Kya Bitter, Corra Cosentino, Sophie Cosentino, Patricia Enrique-Cervantes, Arlyn Fernandez-Ortiz, Julian Flores, Kaylani Franco, Emmalyn Gomez-Amezcua, Kevin Jiang, Emiliano Maldonado, Isacc Moraga Jr., Marilyn Moraga, Ian Nolan, Benicia Peruch, Darius Peruch, Daniel Santos, Sergio Santos, Jacob Silva, Gloria Valdez, Santiago Viveros-Lara. They are coached by Jamie Brock and Angie Reed.

The 2025 Madera County Academic Pentathlon culminated with the Super Quiz and Awards Ceremony on March 8 naming Sherman Thomas STEM Academy this year’s champion team.

Nearly 140 students participated in this five-event academic competition, held on February 12 and March 8.

Students competed in the areas of essay, fine arts, literature, science, and social science. This year’s topic was “Our Changing Climate.”
