Roberts is running to Humboldt

When Madera’s Mia Roberts began her high school career, she thought she would be going to college, but for academic reasons only.

“The goal was to go to college for academics,” Roberts said.

Another surprising turn of events for Roberts is that she isn’t going to college for the sports she’s played for the past 14 years, but for a sport she picked up when she entered Madera High School.
