For The Madera Tribune
A big rig overturned while taking the on-ramp from northbound State Route 99 to westbound State Route 152, which caused lanes of traffic to be closed for several hours while emergency workers cleared the scene.
A big rig was traveling southbound on State Route 99 Monday morning and took the transition ramp to westbound State Route 152. Due to traveling at a high rate of speed as the roadway curved, the driver veered off the road, collided with a sign and overturned.
The No. 2 lane of northbound SR-99 to westbound SR-152 was closed for several hours.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
