Meals are packaged for Rise Against Hunger at Madera United Methodist Church in 2022.
Rise Against Hunger is a non-profit organization committed to feeding the hungry throughout the world.
This task is done by involving the communities to respond to the call to help others. Their motto is, “It starts with a meal,” and their goal is to end hunger, nourishing lives one meal at a time. Madera’s United Methodist Church is a local supporter.
In 1998, envisioning a world without hunger, Ray Buchanan, a United Methodist minister, founded Stop Hunger Now. In 2017, Stop Hunger Now rebranded to become Rise Against Hunger.
