Registration opened for Little League
The Madera American Little League has begun sign-ups and evaluations for the 2023 Little League Season.
The M.A.L.L. will hold sign-ups at Town and Country Park on Field 2 on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon, on February 1 from 5-8 p.m. and on February 4 from 9 a.m.-noon.
Evaluations will be held at Town and Country Park on the sign-up days. Players must attend two evaluations to be eligible for majors.
Evaluations will be held on Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m. for 7-8-year-olds; 6-7 p.m. for 9-10-year-olds; and 7-8 p.m. from 11-12-year-olds.
On Saturdays, evaluations will be from 9-10 a.m. for 7-8-year-olds, 10-11 a.m. for 9-10-year-olds; and 11 a.m.-noon for 11-12-year-olds.
Cost to play is $125 per player.

Madera National Little League
The Madera National Little League is getting ready for its 2023 season with registration and evaluations.
Registration is available on its website: maderanational.com.
Tryouts or evaluations for baseball are on February 4 from 8-10 a.m. and February 11 from 11 a.m-1 p.m. Players must attend one tryout to be eligible to be drafted to an AAA or Majors team.
Cost is $100 for AA, $130 for AAA and $160 for majors.
Madera National is also playing softball. Tryouts for players ages 8-15-years-old will be on February 4 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m and on February 11 from 8-10 a.m.
Cost to play is $85 for AA, $120 for AAA, $150 for Majors and Senior League, which is open to players ages 13-15.
