One time, many years ago, I got a job working as a salesperson. Sales was not really my gig, and I didn’t really know how to sell, so I was enrolled in a three-day sales seminar called “The Fast Start Program.”
We were required to read a book called “Selling Retail.” The book was very inspirational in building a sales mind.
One of the chapters of the book was entitled “Reflections.” It was a very interesting approach. The book gave examples of how reflections work. The idea is to make the customer want something by associating the item with something they remember. One of the examples the book gave is how you notice things that are familiar. For instance, if you own a Ford Focus, you notice every Ford Focus you see.
