For The Madera Tribune
A California Highway Patrol officer makes the arrest of a driver who drove recklessly through the county Tuesday night.
A 24-year-old male driving a 1990 Honda Accord, thought it would be a good idea to drive recklessly and evade law enforcement Tuesday just before midnight.
Little did he know he was being followed and tracked by a Fresno Police Department Helicopter. He entered Madera County and CHP Madera officers attempted to make a traffic stop, northbound SR-99, at Cleveland Avenue.
The driver had other plans and continued to drive recklessly, evading law enforcement. For the safety of the public, CHP ground units did not pursue, and relied on the Fresno PD helicopter to continue monitoring the vehicle.
