Pumpkin muffins are a welcome treat this time of year, or anytime.

Every year around this time, I feel compelled to write about cooking with pumpkins. It is my favorite time of year, both weather-wise and food-wise, as I love to feel cozy and fix hearty meals.

Last year, we had a new wood-burning stove installed in the living room, and I can’t wait to enjoy a nice fire that shows through the glass door. I will sit nearby and finish crocheting a Christmas afghan I started a year ago. And if I am lucky, I will nibble on a spicy pumpkin muffin that I made from my favorite recipe. (I will include it here, even though I have previously shared it.)

At the time of this writing, it is still September, and it is pretty warm. Looking forward to some crisp, Fall weather. It can’t be very far away. Take care and enjoy the new season.
