Pershing donates 1,600 items

Pershing Elementary School students help with the school’s food drive and donate more than 1,600 items.

The Pershing Elementary School 2024 annual Food Drive started November 25 and ended December 11 and collected 1,600 items to donate.

Pershing partnered with Lance Leach of Valley West Christian Center in Madera to collect donated items from Pershing staff and families. These items will be organized and distributed to families and friends at Las Brisas Senior Community. 

Pershing’s top classes have earned pizza and donut parties — fourth grade Miss Borboa with 322 items; Kindergarten Mrs. Benitez with 215; and first grade Ms. Sanchez with 215.
