Participation rising in female sports

In the second part of a sit down interview with Madera Unified Director of Athletics Marty Bitter, we talk about more and more opportunities females are being given within the athletic landscape.

Over the past few years, MUSD, the Central Section and Madera, Madera South and Matilda Torres high schools have added E-Sports, girls wrestling, competitive sport cheer, and now girls flag football.

All of this gives females, and others, more opportunities to earn scholarships. Madera High already had two competitive sport cheer players earn stunt scholarships, and more will be on the way.
