Pair of brothers helps Toros repeat

The Matilda Torres Toros wrestling team won its second straight Central Section Div. V team championship this year. Helping the Toros achieve the milestone were not one, but two sets of brothers — (LEFT) Pablo, left, and Angelo Adame, and (RIGHT) Aiden, left, and Alex Salas.

The Matilda Torres Toros wrestling team captured its second straight Central Section championship this season behind the strength of a pair of brothers that also won championships. 

Two years ago, Pablo Adame and Aiden Salas became the first Central Section individual champions in school history by winning the Div. V individual champions. Salas was the first, at 106 pounds, and Adame won his a couple of matches later, at 128 pounds. 

Then, last year, the Toros won the Div. V team championship with the help of Adame and Salas.
