As the year draws to its conclusion, the month of November brings so many reasons to celebrate. Veterans Day will be celebrated with parades and gatherings throughout the USA. We celebrate the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month as a day of remembrance for the end of World War I. It is spent as a tribute to all who have served in the military.
The men and women who have “worn the uniform” interrupted their civilian lives to help protect democracy and their fellow citizens.
At the minimum, military veterans should be provided with lifetime medical care, housing and a hefty pension. I would like to see a five-year moratorium on all foreign aid packages, with the money being used to enhance Vererans’ services.
