Joseph White Sr.

 

Joseph White Sr. “Joe” of Madera, CA passed away January 2 nd , 2025. Joe was born Feb. 1, 1963, in Denver CO to Vern and Juanita White.


After Joe graduated from Tracy High School class of 1981 he joined the Army and was stationed in Ft. Campbell KY and later in Germany where he earned the rank of Sargent.


After completing his military service Joe joined the Department of Corrections as a correctional officer, earning the rank of lieutenant.


Joe also worked for many seasons at Raisin Hell Ranch both as an actor and a propmaker, where he was able to use his artistic talent to create props and backdrops that helped the haunt come to life.


Joe is survived by his son Joseph White Jr, daughter Jessica White, granddaughter Emma Callahan, grandsons Sinai Voyles and Samuel Miller all of Madera. His mother Juanita White, brother Jerry White (Doreen) of Modesto and brother Jaime White (Tina) of Reno NV.


He was proceeded in death by his father Vern White and brother John White.


Although Joe had a long illness, he kept his sense of humor and took pride in making others laugh.


Joe was a very talented artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, leatherwork as well as other arts.


He also practiced martial arts in the style of Kenscrimadoh where he achieved his blackbelt.


A Celebration of Life Art Show will be held Saturday February 22 nd at 1 p.m., at 2470 Dutra Ct., Madera, CA 93637.
