Bruno J. DeStefanis passed away on April 16, 2023, in Madera, California at the age of 95.

Bruno was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Pennsylvania. His family moved to New York when he was five years old. He attended school in New York until he was drafted into the Army where he served in Alaska. When he was discharged he moved to Madera to be with his father, mother and brother, who all have preceded him in death. He was a member of the VFW in Madera for 53 years.

Bruno was a mailman in Madera for 29 years and knew everyone on his route and loved to talk with them. He enjoyed playing bingo in the Bergon Club and then with the Elks Club. When he was younger he belonged to a bike club and would bike all over California.

Bruno was married to Mirella Colodi for 29 years, and then to Nadine Flynn for eight years, both who preceded him in death. He is survived by his nephew Steve DeStefanis and his good friend, Dorothy Simpson.

Bruno was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Southern Baptist Church, 711 Nebraska Ave., Madera. The service will be followed by a lunch at the church.
