Madera Unified School District invited the community to participate in its annual Mental Health Awareness Conference and Resource Fair.
The hybrid event, held Friday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Zoom or in person from 4:30-6:30 p.m., will feature experts from various fields, providing attendees with the latest information on mental health topics, including representatives from Madera County Behavioral Health Services, Camarena Health and Valley Children’s Hospital.
“‘Highlighting the importance of self-care for parents and equipping families with strategies to manage stress, anxiety and the challenges of parenthood. This will nurture our student’s mental health; parents will be more prepared to support and promote positive mental health in their children. We Believe Our Families Matter,” Director of Community Services and Parent Resource Centers Elia Medina said.
