For the first time in Madera Unified School District’s history, all three high schools are sending a cheer squad to the USA Nationals.

Also, for the first time in MUSD history, the three schools will be hosting a combined fundraiser in the Matilda Torres High School gymnasium at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Tickets can be purchased from any cheerleader for $5 or pay $7 at the door. All proceeds will be split three ways to support the cheer squad to nationals.

“All teams that are going to nationals will be performing — Torres pom, Madera pom and show cheer, Madera South pom and show cheer,” said Madera South cheer adviser Analicia Sanchez. “We all invited our middle schools.”
