MUSD AD discusses league changes - Part 1

Over the past year, there have been a number of changes and developments within the high school sports landscape, including the introduction of girls flag football, the rise of competitive sport cheer, and most importantly the merging of the County/Metro Athletic Conference and the North Yosemite League.

The Madera Tribune sat down with Madera Unified School District Director of Athletics Marty Bitter to discuss some of the changes that have developed. This part will talk about how the CMAC and NYL have merged back into one league.

However, now, the league is a conference. Within  that conference are three tiers. Teams are split into tiers based on their competitive balance. The six best teams are at the top followed by two tiers of four teams each.
