City and county officials take a look at a trailer that fell into a sinkhole on Avenue 13 on Monday afternoon.
The intersection of Granada Drive and Avenue 13 closed Monday afternoon due to a sinkhole that developed over the City’s sewer line headed to the wastewater treatment plant.
Late Monday morning, a tanker trailer was traveling eastbound on Avenue 13 headed to the stop sign on Granada when a sinkhole developed, and took the trailer with it.
Cal Fire Madera, Madera County Sheriffs, Madera Police Department and City officials were quickly on scene to assess the situation and figure out how to get the trailer out of the sinkhole.
