Madera South’s Justin Caballero races down the sideline for a touchdown run in Friday’s loss to Hoover.
The Madera South Stallions looked headed in the right direction after scoring two touchdowns without running an offensive play against the Hoover Patriots.
However, the Patriots came back with five unanswered touchdowns for a 39-27 victory Friday on Madera South’s Senior Night.
“If we could have gotten a touchdown on offense early, Hoover would have folded,” head coach Matt Johnson said. “There are just not enough live bodies to keep that energy up. Once the game started to settle into a physical game, we are limited in what we do offensively. Defensively, I was excited to see things happen our way. We didn’t give up big plays consistently.”
