Newly elected Madera Mayor Cece Gallegos, second from right, is joined by re-elected Madera City Council members, from left, Anita Evans, Jose Rodriguez and Artemio Villegas after they were sworn in during a meeting on December 4.
There was standing room only during the Madera City Council meeting.
Friends, family, and supportive residents filled the chambers and lined the walls to watch as Madera’s newly elected Mayor and Council members took their oaths of office last week.
Madera County officials declared the results of November’s general election, and proceeded with the reorganization of the City Council.
