Madera police make arrests

Madera Police shows off the items confiscated from the arrest of Oscar Montes Jr., including a stolen rifle and two handguns.

During a vehicle stop early Tuesday morning, Madera Police contacted New Xiong, Yang Vong, and Danita Cantu who thought they could come to Madera with malcontent.

Xiong and Cantu were out of Fresno and both had a history of theft. A search of their vehicle revealed they had not changed their ways.

Burglary tools, methamphetamine and a large amount of recently stolen mail was located. All three were booked into jail.
