Madera’s Old School House is enveloped in flames Saturday night. The fire started at about 9 p.m. and destroyed most of the building. Investigation in the cause is still ongoing.
Home of the original Howard Elementary School, and most recently, home to Petrucci’s Barbecue, Petrucci’s Old School House burned down Saturday night.
All that remains of the building is some of the outside walls while the exterior is surrounded by caution tape.
The Old School House was owned by the late Dino Petrucci, and he had his Petrucci’s Barbecue business there, serving his famous ti-tip sandwiches and other homemade goodies. His daughter Dina continued to operate the barbecue on a limited basis before closing a few years ago.
