Madera Coyote football player earns full-ride scholarship
When Manuel Hernandez graduated from Madera High School in 2022, he knew he wasn’t ready for college.
Just two short years later, now he is, and he earned a full-ride scholarship to play football at West Virginia Wesleyan College after signing a National Letter of Intent in April.
“They gave me a full ride so I couldn’t pass it up,” he said. “When I graduated from Madera, there were schools looking at me, but I didn’t have the grades. When I went to Fresno City, my GPA rose to 3.5. It was a 2.3 out of high school.”
