Local candidates make their points

Madera Mayor candidates from left, Lucy Salazar, Cece Gallegos, Santos Garcia and Wayne Padilla take part in a candidates forum on Tuesday night at the Community Action Partnership of Madera County hosted by the Madera Chamber of Commerce, Madera Coalition for Community Justice, Madera Tribune and NAACP-Madera Branch.

A Candidates Forum was held at the Community Action Partnership of Madera County (CAPMC).

Tuesday’s forum included four people running for Madera Mayor — incumbent Santos Garcia, Cece Gallegos, Wayne Padilla and Lucy Salazar — and two each for City Council Districts 4 and 6.

The event was hosted by the Madera Chamber of Commerce, Madera Coalition for Community Justice, The Madera Tribune, and the Madera Branch of the NAACP.
