Literate Voices — students working on anthology

For The Madera Tribune

Dr. Jyothi Bathina, founder and director of Literate Voices poses with her co-instructor, Agustin Ramirez, after giving certificates to 18 students who completed Literate Voices Young Authors Camp on July 2.

The class of 18 middle school students sat in the forum-style classroom, ready to talk about how much they enjoyed and appreciated Literate Voices Young Authors Camp.

They were at the end of their three weeks at Madera Tech, where they had learned so much about expressing themselves and writing their stories.

Dr. Jyothi Bathina is the founder and director of Literate Voices. She has conducted this program at other locations, and she was very proud of these students who had accomplished so much in this short period of time.
