Lions prepare for second diabetes run

More than a hundred participants participate in the Running with the Lions 5K run, hosted by the Madera Evening Lions at Lion’s Town and Country Park in 2022.
The Madera Evening Lions are preparing for more runners for its second annual Running with the Madera Evening Lions: Strides for Diabetes Run at Lions Town and Country Park.
The run will be held on April 1 beginning at 8:30 a.m. with check-in and packet pick-up at 6:30 a.m.
“Last year, we had about 150 register,” said race director Benny Madrigal. “The day of, we had close to that show up. We would like to have more runners. The course will be modified to accommodate a bigger group. We’re expecting more and planning for more.”
