CLOVIS — The Liberty Hawks softball team faced one of the best teams in the Central Section and came away with a respectable 2-0 loss to the Buchanan Bears at the Buchanan Easter Classic.

The Hawks, who were ranked No 15 last week by MaxPreps.com, had a tough road ahead. They lost a 10-0 game to No. 1 Central, then, 10-0, to No. 2 Buchanan in the second game of a doubleheader.

Then, they dropped a tough 2-0 decision to No. 5 Clovis East. With the four losses, the Hawks dropped to No. 23 in the Central Section rankings.
