With his parents watching, Liberty’s Gabriel Cazares signs his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at North Dakota’s Valley City State University during a signing ceremony for five student athletes signing NLIs in May.

Well-traveled Gabe Cazares found a home at Liberty High School, and used the success he built after leading the Hawks’ baseball team to back-to-back Div. IV Central Section Championship to a scholarship to play baseball at Valley City State in North Dakota.

Valley City State is located in Valley City in North Dakota and is an NAIA school.

“It’s kind of in the middle,” Cazares said. “It’s an hour away from the biggest cities.”
